Forest Lake Fire & Rescue

Columbus and Forest Lake share Forest Lake Fire & Rescue under a joint powers agreement. The 40-member volunteer firefighters serve an area of approximately 78 square miles. The two fire stations include one next to Columbus City Hall and the other in the City of Forest Lake. Eight Columbus residents currently serve as fire fighters and respond to Columbus station, which includes a 2,500 gallon pumper/tanker, a 3,200 gallon tanker, a pickup grass rig, a decontamination trailer, a spare utility pickup and the police squad.

REMINDER: In case of emergency, please clearly display your address on your property at the end of your driveway, either on your mailbox or at the edge of the ditch, in order for emergency services personal to quickly locate you.
