The role of the Code Compliance Inspector is to work with citizens and businesses in the City of Columbus to gain voluntary compliance with a variety of issues. Some common issues that are concerns for residents may be found on the Code Compliance page, but all property complaints are eligible for submission here. The City's goal is to work together to come up with a solution to whatever issue is raised.
Please note that the Code Compliance department is not a substitute for law enforcement. If there is an issue that needs police attention or something is happening currently, please call 911 and do not use this form. Similarly, if the issue is not an emergency, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office non-emergency dispatch number is 763-427-1212 and should be utilized instead of this form.
