Anoka County Libraries

As citizens of Anoka County, residents in the City of Columbus are entitled to free access to the nine libraries in the Anoka County Library system.

Listed below are the three full-service libraries closest to Columbus, as well as Pickup/Drop-Off On-the-Go lockers in Andover. Hours for full-service locations are: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday and Thursday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; closed Sunday.

Hours: 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday; 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Libraries Outside Anoka County

Given the City of Columbus' location on the eastern border of Anoka County, some libraries outside Anoka County may be closer than those within citizens' jurisdictions. Fortunately, the Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA) allows Anoka County Library Card holders access to seven additional library systems across the Twin Cities area. Simply register your library card in-person, by phone or online with the library system you want to visit to be given access.
