Loans Available for Residential Septic & Well Repair/Replacement

Low interest loans are available to eligible property owners to repair or replace private well and septic systems under a program offered by Anoka County Community Development and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s Best Management Practices Program (AgBMP). The program aims to fund projects that prevent or reduce water pollution. In Anoka County, eligible projects include repairing or replacing failed or failing septic systems and/or private wells and sealing wells that are no longer in use.

The AgBMP loan program provides financing at below-market interest rates. Property owners who are current on their mortgage payments and property taxes are encouraged to apply. Loans will be repaid via a special assessment on the property tax statement through Anoka County.
