Columbus Update: Week of April 1, 2024
Don't let the snow fool you - spring has sprung and events are popping up on the calendar like wildflowers!
This week, the following events taking place in or pertaining to Columbus are:
- Planning Commission Meeting - 6 p.m. on April 3 at Columbus City Hall
- The Columbus Planning Commission is a group which makes recommendations to the City Council on planning and zoning issues, land use, studies, ordinance amendments, and community development.
- At this meeting, the Planning Commission will discuss a septic variance and hold a public open forum. You can review all meeting materials HERE.
- Sunrise River Watershed Management Organization (SRWMO) Meeting - 6:30 p.m. on April 4 at East Bethel City Hall (2241 221st Ave. NE, East Bethel, MN 55011)
- The SRWMO is a joint powers special purpose unit of government composed of member communities of Columbus, East Bethel, Ham Lake and Linwood collaborating to manage water resources.
- At this meeting, the SRWMO will discuss their data practices policy and community events, among other topics. You can preview all meeting materials HERE.
- FREE Fix-It Clinic - 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on April 6 at Columbus Community/Senior Center
- Bring your broken small household appliances, torn clothing and more to the Anoka Fix-It Clinic to see if they can be repaired for free! Not only will repairing the broken item save you money by keeping you from buying a new one, but it will also save that damaged good from the trash dump - a true win-win!
