Bus Service to Minneapolis

Bus service to Minneapolis is available Monday through Friday via Express Busses 250 and 252. Both busses depart from the 95th Avenue Park & Ride Station in Blaine, approximately 13 miles southwest of Columbus.

Express Bus 250

Express Bus 250 travels southbound 10 times per business day, departing at 5:23, 6:03, 6:20, 6:43, 7, 7:10, 7:29, 7:43 and 8:10 a.m. and 4:02 p.m., making three stops along Marquette Avenue in downtown Minneapolis after stopping along the Blaine-Lexington border and in Minneapolis' Marcy-Holmes neighborhood. Northbound trips are scheduled to arrive in Blaine at 7:31 a.m. and 1:45, 3:42, 4:08, 4:28,  4:48, 5:12, 5:22, 5:42 and 6:10 p.m.

All rides cost $3.25 except for the 5:21 a.m. departure from Blaine and the 1:47 p.m. arrival, which cost $2.50 due to preceding MetroTransit's morning and evening rush hours. Rides last a scheduled maximum duration of approximately 40 minutes and parking at Park & Ride Stations is free.

Express Bus 252

Designed to service University of Minnesota students, Express Bus 252 travels southbound three times per business day when school is in session, departing at 7:10, 7:25 and 8:27 a.m. and makes four stops across the West and East Bank campuses. Two buses travel north in the afternoon, scheduled to arrive in Blaine at 4:06 and 5:11 p.m. It should be noted that when the University of Minnesota is on break or in May or Summer Sessions, Route 252 only travels once in either direction. On those days, only the 7:10 a.m. southbound departure and 5:11 p.m. northbound arrival will be in service. Students that have paid the University's Transportation and Safety Fee have unlimited access to the regional transit system in the Twin Cities metro area - otherwise, rides cost $3.25 and last a scheduled maximum duration of approximately 30 minutes. Parking at Park & Ride Stations is free.

Bus Service to St. Paul

Bus service to St. Paul is available Monday through Friday via Express Bus 275.Two busses service the I-35E & County Road 14 Park & Ride Station in Lino Lakes, approximately 10 miles south of Columbus. Morning departures from the station are scheduled for 6:03 and 7:08 a.m., making three stops in downtown St. Paul after a stop at Vadnais Heights' Park & Ride Station. Northbound trips are scheduled to arrive in Lino Lakes at 4:15 and 5:13 p.m.

Rides cost $3.25 and last a scheduled maximum duration of approximately 40 minutes. Parking at Park & Ride Stations is free.
